Letting Go of Negative Emotions:Psychological Connections

Clearing with EFT. When the energy system is disrupted and negative emotions are demonstrated, the result is often the creation of limiting beliefs about the world and oneself.  An attempt is made to protect oneself from the original hurt or insult. This attempt turns into a block. Clearing with EFT is all about removing this block.

Causes underlying current distress, whether they are physical or emotional, may be current and simple. Or they may be older and more deeply rooted. What may be a response to a current circumstance or stressful event in your life could be just that and dissipate easily with a couple of rounds of EFT. On the other hand, it may have roots in a belief system that began long ago. Long held belief systems generate far reaching consequences in a person’s life. They can affect the choices we make in our present lives. They can be the cause of inappropriate responses we apply to current circumstances.

These beliefs can be described as a truncated or narrowed perspective of the world. This perspective limits our openness to the possibilities that are our birthright. These limiting beliefs become so second nature that they become the automatic response to certain triggering events in our world.  When our minds limit our negative beliefs to protect us, our psyche does not have the ability to delineate from our positive beliefs and potential. Consequently we often lose our sense of potential and hope. This can leave us  feeling powerless, frustrated, scared, anxious, resentful and angry to the point of eventually leaving life’s meaning and dreams behind.

Older Core Issues: Clearing with EFT

Negative events are usually far more traumatizing to a child.  At that impressionable age their effects often far more lasting. Experiences whether of an aggressive nature, like yelling or  hitting, or of a more passive form, like neglect or abandonment or lack of acknowledgement, all effect the young profoundly. This lays the foundations of many later negative experiences.  This is not to say that negative experiences in later adolescence or adulthood aren’t traumatizing. Indeed they can be, and even more so with earlier traumas underlying them.

Because a child has had less experience with which to form a sense of their world, he or she is more impressionable, more vulnerable to trauma. Necessarily, the ratio of experiences are fewer and the ability to rationalize why an unpleasant event occurs is less developed. Bullying by a parent or a peer or the subtle but repetitious  ignoring by an authority figure are enormous insults to the child. They  create deep and long lasting blocks in the energy meridians of the child. They need clearing with EFT.

Adulthood events or injuries, physical or psychological, can also be highly traumatic. More recent experiences are often complicated by the energy blocks formed long ago, and by the limiting beliefs created in response. As with many therapies, EFT clearing effects the permanent change by working with core issues.   Clearing with EFT is  gentle and respectful in its process and technique. It is NEVER necessary to experience past trauma discomfort during the process of clearing with EFT.
